Strength:
Rugged, but reasonably light weight for its apperture. Fast focus, very sharp and has a good feel to the zoom
Weakness:
hate the feel of the manual focus - luckily you dont really need it. Must use a decent pro multi coated 1B on it as flare can be pronounced without. A very nice lens for the money. Exceedingly sharp, blew me away compared to my previous Tamron 70-300 LD. Focus speed is impressive but can struggle in low light. Be warned, the problems with Dynax 7s are real! I had to return my first camera (not the lens strangely enough) before it would work correctly - used to hang up at times and would not infinity lock. Try it first! Customer Service Very decent and helpful in the UK. Similar Products Used: Tamron 70-300 LD |

Strength:
Stellar optical quality, and excellent build quality are the hallmarks of EX lenses. This lens does not disappoint! Razor sharp, lovely handling, it is unbeatable at its pricepoint. Pair it with the very affordable 28-70F2.8EX for an excellent combination that easily matches (and exceeds) what the Branded manufacturer provides at the same pricepoint. This lens is the same as the HSM version optically, and in terms of build quality. Read the reviews and scores for that lens as well, to get a better feel.
Weakness:
Contrary to Mr Wong's comment about 82mm filters, this lens uses 77mm filters. Never had any trouble finding that size myself, though they aren't cheap. Nothing else bad to say about the lens! Buy it. Nicely crafted, outstandingly sharp and at the right price, this lens is one for your collection. Customer Service Outstanding. Vice President emailed in response to a query!!! Strength:
Constant maximum aperature and rapid HSM motor help with candid nature shots. The lens is sharp, very sharp when stopped down to f 5.6 or more. It is ruggedly built, and a huge bargain based upon its performance.
Weakness:
Just a bit heavy A superior value giving excellent performance. I doubt that many experts or professionals would be disappointed with this lens. Customer Service not needed Similar Products Used: Canon 28mm-70mm USM L |

Strength:
Very high optical quality.
Weakness:
None. A very good lens, very solid build, but difficult to focus manually, the racking is too quick and the focus-ring does not feel very solid. Better buy the Nikon for a littlebit more money. Customer Service Don't know Similar Products Used: Nikon 80-200 |
