This is a very versatile lens. I bought it expecting to use it primarily in the 50-70mm range but have found myself using it throughout its range.

I am not an expert on sharpness or color quality, however the slides (Provia 100F and Velvia) I have taken with this lens on my camera (Pentax PZ1p) are among my favorites. Typically I scan the slides and choose my favorites to be printed by a local photo shop (from 4x6 up to 8x10). I have not been dissappointed.

At 70mm in full sunlight with fill flash my portraits of friends and family look better than I had ever hoped to take myself and I am very proud of my travel pictures at 28mm through 70mm. The bright viewfinder image is very useful when taking pictures at night.

This lens combined with more experience, better film and a better camera have helped me take my photography up a notch. I am sure I have a few more levels of experience to gain before I begin to challenge the limits of this lens.

Overall, well worth the investment in money and time!
