DESCRIPTION

Sigma 28-135mm f3.8-5.6 Aspherical IF Macro is one of several lenses introduced at PMA 2000 by Sigma Corporation. Incorporating aspherical optics, plus a floating inner focusing system, this lens minimizes spherical aberration and stigmatism. This lens can focus from infinity to 19.7 inches at all of the focal lengths without close-up accessory, and as close as 9.4 inches (1:2 reproduction ratio) at the 135mm zoom position. This lens incorporates an inner focusing system and features a non-rotating front lens barrel for convenient filter use. A custom designed "Perfect Hood" with bayonet mount is provided to prevent extraneous light from degrading the image quality.

Strength:

Good focal range, Good Macro, Aperture manual over ride with locking, Easy manual focus, FX lens, Available cheap, Costruction fair with metal mount, Retracted compact lens.

Weakness:

Average sharpness, Cool (Bluish) color temparature, poor contrast, Dont autofocus on Nikon DX cameras

Just above average sharpness in entire range, Color temparature appears cool with exess blue, contrast on lower side.Auto focus dont work on Nikon DX cameras and i used it on Nikon D5200 but manual focus find quite comfortable.On D5200 in all three modes it gave somewhat over exposure.Mine is a used one apparently in good condition.With some little adjustments images appeard good.In total is an average lens for general use but not for professional applications.It worths for the money !
