    Strength:

Sharp - very sharp, particularly at the wide end. light, very compact, reasonable construction.

    Weakness:

Plastic lens mount. Some vignetting and distortion. slight edge softness at longer focal lengths. Nothing to worry about at the price.

Well, this is a bit of a surprise! I had not expected this lens to be up to much, but in fact it is an excellent all round performer. Used on my full-frame Kodak DSLR, the edges are a touch soft at longer focal lengths, but generally, this is a very sharp lens, capable of serious photography, not just tourist snapshots. At the price, it's a bargain. The superzoom comes of age. Given the price and overall performance, it deserves a five-star rating.

    Strength:

    Size

    Weakness:

Quality of pictures - not sharp, aberrations.

Although I liked the size of the length I have yet to be satisfied with the pictures it takes. This lense has sharpness issues. And it gets worse when zoom out.

    Strength:

    Compact Lightweight

    Weakness:

Poor Image Quality at the Extremes

This is a inexpensive lens with several limitations. It delivered very soft results at every zoom length while at full open f stops. Images improve greatly with greatly by stopping down at least 1 stop. Also, at the ends of the zoom range, 28 & 200mm, shooting at the smallest f stops resulted in overall degraded image quality.

    Strength:

extremely compact design. nice built, though the unit i handled is not as tight as perhaps the more pro-level lenses. but the built is still much better than the equivalents from Canon.

    Weakness:

Some feel there quality may be compromised due to the wide range. perhaps only iritate the most discerning experts.

This lens with the ED elements did a great job from shooting portraits to landscape. The image was sharp and contrasty from normal to tele range.
