Sharp, sharp, sharp.
Weakness:
Don't like 'petal' lens hood, but they are very common. Very sharp and capable lens. Great colour and saturation on all slides so far. Very impressive and highly recommend both it and the 5600 HS(D) to Dynax 7 buyers. Similar Products Used: 28-80, 28-105, 24-85. |

Strength:
Compact, handy zoom range
Weakness:
not as sharp as my other lenses I figured that this had to be a good lens judging from the above reviews and from the fact that Minolta are pushing this lens with the new Maxxum 7. Having taken this lens with me on a scenic vacation to the Canadain Rockies, I found this lens to be mediocre - neither poor nor excellent. The color rendition was good, there was no distortion or flare, it was fast enough with 200 film and it was certainly handy to work with. However I have to say that it was not able to match the sharpness of my other lenses. In short this seemed to be too "soft" a lens for my needs and it is on its way back to the shop. I'll continue to put up with the bulk of my "bonzo" 28-135 lens as my prime until such time as I can find a better alternative. Perhaps the Tamron 24-135 may work better...... Not very sharp Took lens back and keep the two other mentioned lenses. Tamron 24-135 and Tokina 24-200 one for me and one for my wife. These two lens way out performed the Minolta 24-105mm, I was hoping I could stick with the Minolta line but is just was not at the same level as these two. It was very soft, altough it had a very compact size and light weight and the 62mm filter was a plus. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Tamron 24-135mm |

Strength:
Compact size, low weight, sharpness and free hood. Pratical zoom range.
Weakness:
Manual focus not so smoothly. A very sharp lens, with reasonable contrast. The zoom range is ideal for outdoor photography. Great colour and saturation on all the negative films and slides so far. A lens with a very good value! Similar Products Used: Pentax 28-70/4 |

Strength:
Sharpness, Price, Size, Brightness and Autofocus speed. Covers a good range of focal lengths for general use.
Weakness:
Feels a bit plasticky! No other complaints. Very impressive sharpness and good colour rendition more neutral than my Tamron. Bargain for the money. Small size makes it easy to carry and store. Very pleased with it, highly recommended as general use standard zoom. Customer Service Not used. Similar Products Used: Tamron 35-135 f3.5/4.5 |
