EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 I.S.
Strength:
The stabilzer really work, good for low light condition.
Weakness:
Focusing is a bit slow and the image quality at 300mm suffers! Doesn't like the front element to rotate and produce some noise during focusing. If you don't need to enlarge your photos, it can be a good lens, stick to 4R or smaller. Customer Service Not yet. Similar Products Used: EF 100-300mm USM. Image quality is very close to this lens. |

Strength:
The ability to shoot with the lens fully racked out and get excellent results at slow shutter speeds.
Weakness:
Autofocus hunts in low light situations Great lens at a steep price. Saving up for the 28-135 IS. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Canon FD zooms |

Strength:
I like the high tech solution to hand held telephoto jitter! Focused on a sign that at 300mm handheld I could barely read, engaged IS and it became rock steady. Magic.
Weakness:
Very new lens. Slow autofocus. Hunts in low light. If you want to hand hold 300mm shots get a fast (expensive) lens or a Canon IS. It works! If I wanted to pay the premium for a faster lens in this range, I would still select an IS. Customer Service Not yet... Bought extended warranty just in case. Similar Products Used: Played with 75-300 non IS. Maybe I drink too much diet Coke, but I would have needed to push my film if I wanted to use |

Strength:
The IS is solid and eliminates the need for a tripod. I used it in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Refuge and it produced outstanding photographs under adverse conditions.
Weakness:
There aren't any instructions of value included with the lens. It's a great lens that fills a need for us 'shakies.' Negatives are clear, crisp and beautiful to print. Similar Products Used: None |

EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 I.S.
Strength:
No camera shake at slow shutter speed, wide zoom range. Good color, good sharpness.
Weakness:
Slow autofocus, hunts sometimes. Focus manually for action shots To get handheld shots at 300mm, would have to spend $2000 for 300F2.8 Similar Products Used: None |

EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 I.S.
Strength:
It allows me handheld shots more often, pretty good image quality and a wide zoom range.
Weakness:
Incredibly slow autofocus, but other than that it's been fine. A good lens if you shoot long range things and don't need or want to mess with a tripod. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: 28-105 |

EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 I.S.
Strength:
The IS allows handheld shots.
Weakness:
Image quality suffers at 300mm. Too expensive comparing to the non-IS version-they have same glasses, that means that the IS feature is worth $200 extra. This telezoom does not have good value for the image it produces. Price not good for amateur, and Quality not good for professionals, so no one should really buy this lens...
