    Strength:

Optically fantastic, mechanically wonderful, aesthetically superb (without the hood, anyway) - close to perfect.

    Weakness:

I want one for my Contax (classic rangefinder) system!

Possibly the best lens in an outstanding range. I really, really love this lens! Quality is absolutely outstanding, handling is superb, and 90mm is a lovely focal length. I will be replacing some of my Voigtlanders with Leica glass when I can afford it, but not this one. I could go on for hours about how good this lens is - wonderful colour rendition, bokeh - you name it, it's got it. Buy one - you won't regret it!

    Weakness:

A bit long compared to other lenses in the lineup, but not compared to other 90mm lenses.

I recently got into RF photography again with the Bessa R2. After seeing the rave review of this lens on imx.nl (http://www.imx.nl/photosite/japan/voigt2890.html), I bought it without hesitation. From the first roll of Velvia, I was convinced. The lens makes wonderfully-saturated photos, resulting in more punch from Velvia than I can remember from any of my Nikon or Canon equipment (I haven't shot with Leica). I haven't tested its resolution, but I see plenty of detail on Velvia, wide open, center to corner (just as the review states). It focuses very smoothly, is built very well, and has survived a nose-first drop on concrete without any apparent adverse effects. In summary, I highly recommend this.
