Strength:
Inexpensive
Weakness:
None This is a very nice lens for the price. It is a great lens to use on the Bessa line camera and I also use it on my Leica M6 and IIIa with very good results. I do find it more contrasty than most lenses I have owned. It produces gritty B&W's. Similar Products Used: Voigtlander Nokton 40mm 1.4

Strength:
Very sharp and contrasty. Brilliant colors.
Weakness:
Not exceptionally fast for existing light. I just bought a Bessar-R with this lense and the rolls I've shot are very impressive. The results are on the same level as Leica 35mm lenses (Summilux & Summicron) I've used in the past. Quite impressive for the meager cost compared to Leica. Strength:
Tack sharp image; high constrast; excellent color
Weakness:
If the lens were a bit faster, it would be perfect. I had heard so many good things about the Voightlander screw mount lenses, I had to try one. I was not disappointed. I was afraid that I might have a bit of trouble focusing given the BessaR's short rangefinder base and my older eyes. Not a problem. The viewfinder is so very bright that there is no mistaking a properly focused subject. For the price of a ContaxG2 kit you can pick up a BessaR (or T) and two fine lenses. If you enjoy the process of picture taking and are not enamored with "auto-gimmicks", I highly recommend the Voightlander system. Customer Service No problems so far.
