Strength:
Size . The lens is so small, it can easily be carried in a pocket.
Weakness:
Speed. F/4 is the largest aperature. Obviously a faster lens would be larger, so there is a tradeoff.
This is great little lens. I needed a super wide lens and I debated over this lens or the 15mm Color Heliar. I ended up going with 21mm and I have been very happy.

Strength:
Sharp throughout the image; very well built; very small.
Weakness:
Slow, but wide, so useable in low light at slower shutter speeds. Excellent lens. I don't notice distortion at the edges of the frame as I do with retrofocus designs. Very little light fall off in the corners. Sharp to the corners. Great build quality. Stands up pretty well to flare, but could use the optional hood. Definitely fills a gap as an affordable super-wide. Not too wide as to be hard to use either. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Nikon 20/2.8 AFD; Contax 25/2.8 Distagon |
