Strength:
sharp sharp
Weakness:
too heavy i have decided to test out and try lot of gear and products, and this lens came along with a very nice Nikon Nikkormat EL-W for only 25 usd altogether,;i put on a Fuji reala film in it and the result is very very fair and quite okay especially considered that it is the Old 28 mm MF 2,5 version which is more heavy and filled with glass! i was lucky again the shots made by this is awesome and good! Strength:
Cheap, the newer version is better made, very solid construction. The newer one fits well and has decent lens coatings, Very sharp at F8
Weakness:
The older version Jams on the AF shaft of Pentax AF cameras, the aperture ring feels like it will fall off. Both flare badly but the newer one less, both are . There are 2 versions of this lens and both are available new, Both have the same optics but the construction is different. The older one does not mount to all Pentax AF cameras due to the extra ricoh pin that jams on the AF shaft, the newer one has a rounded ball not a pin contact that does not jam. The newer version has a large silver button for the aperture ring and all the electronic contacts have rounded ball type fittings not sharp pins. You have a 50% chance of getting a good one or bad one due to quality variations. Customer Service You can only take it back to the store you got it from and get it replaced.
