Strength:
High contrast, high resoultion, solid construction.

Price Extemely well made lense. The resoultion and the color rendition are superior in all scale. Although the price is on the high side, it's worth it. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Micro-Nikkor 55mm |

Strength:
This is one of the finest lenses made by Nikon. Very Very sharp. It is lamost a legend. 1 to 1 reproduction ration, manual focus override does not require turning autofocus cameras to manual mode. Excellent color reproduction and sharpness. Just a great lens
Weakness:
A little pricy but worth it This is the macro lens of choice. Beatiful portraits are also obtainable with this lens. Don't bother to compare it with anything else. There just isn't anything close to it. Customer Service Not Needed Similar Products Used: None. There is only one Nikon Macro lens that's this good. |

Plastic feel I liked this macro lens as all nikons i have. Unfortunately i like Tamron AF90 SP much more not for its price but for better and smoother focusing ring. Customer Service Always excellent Similar Products Used: Tamron AF90 SP 1:1 macro |

Strength:
Extremely sharp. Great contrast and color. Auto/Manual switch is very convenient. 1:1 Macro, 52mm filter size.
Weakness:
expensive... but if I only take one lense this is the one I take so I guess it's worth it. This is my favorite lense. Extremely sharp. Use something to soften the picture when doing portraits of women! It is much more versatile than the 60mm or 55mm micro-nikkors, doesn't make you get so close that you insight insects into attacking you. Customer Service haven't needed it Similar Products Used: Nikon AF 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor |

feels really solid...sharpness is breathtaking...manual focus seems smooth
Weakness:
nope (but 2 be honest, i just got it a few days ago) never seen a lens produce such sharp images...price a little high (but you can do like i did; buy it second hand for the price of a new sigma macro lens)...if you intend 2 get more involved in macro photography, this is a lens you should really consider.... Customer Service ... Similar Products Used: not really, i do use Kenko AF extenders |

Strength:
Sharp. Extremely high resolution which is easily visible on huge prints.
Weakness:
Aperture is not 2.8 at closeup distance. Sometimes cause metering problems with my old manual Nikons. Extremely slow AF even on my F100. Excellent optics, worth the Nikkor name. Very slow and noisy AF but built well. Customer Service Ok. Similar Products Used: Sigma 105 macro. |
