Strength:
The autofocus on this model appears to be significantly faster than on previous models I have trialled. The Image quality from this lense is superb and crystal clear, particularily with auto-focus enabled. Designed solidly and very robust for outdoor conditions
Weakness:
The only real weakness would be in its prabticality as it is quite large, however this negative is compensated with the amazing image quality. Perhaps the price too! Overall this product is quite incredible and far surpasses any of its rivals in so far as image quality and reliability. If you are in the market for these products I would from experience recommend Canon over the rest. Similar Products Used: Previous Canon and Pentax superlenses |

EF 500mm f/4.5L II USM
Strength:
Light weight (compared to most of the laternatives in the premium long lens range); superb sharpness; fast autofocus; first-rate build quality
Weakness:
The length makes it a bit unwieldy at times, but there's no getting around this with any long lens; drop-in filters are a bit expensive and of limited selection Definitely top-notch quality; it's hard to imagine any lens giving better sharpness (although the new IS version is claimed to be better?!).
