Strength:
When working I was very pleased though the price was a little high.
Weakness:
I used it probably 30-50 times the first 3 months I had it. Stored it for a couple years without the battery. When I took it out of the box, installed a new energizer alkaline battery. The display came on but it locked up and non of the buttons would do anything. Basically it was dead. I read two other similar reveiws. Is there a capacitor that goes bad with time or what is it? Will sekonic fix it for a reasonable price? Definitely not worth the money.Should have lasted a life time under normal use.Sekonic should replace it for free if there is no signs of damage. |

Strength:
Great meter still going strong after 10 plus years. Check the free gift in summary
Weakness:
Don't know of one yet My Sekonic L-328 Digilite F Light Meter does more than take light readings, it is also a free battery check. Remove batteries from flash, install a battery in light meter and it lets you know how much life is left in batteries, saved quite a bit of money on batteries with the sekonic freebie. |

Strength:
Small, light and easy to use and even keep one with every flash pack and heads.
Weakness:
Once battery gets below one third it dies in no time I have used several meters and each have pros and cons but then I started using these meters (L-328) by sSkonic having used spot and flash meters by them and Calculite in the past as well as Gossen and for ease of use and reliability I have never had cause to complain. Once you use them as reflected light you had better aim them slightly downwards otherwise they may give a slightly misleading reading especially off a brides dress bot having said that the same applied to any make. I removed battery and stored for quite a while. When I was going to use it again, unit was dead with new battery. I had not used this product more than 30 times. |

After letting this item sit idle for quite some time tried to use it again and found that it doesn't work anymore. Kept it protected at all times in the cover supplied with the meter and never left the battery in the chamber. If I ever get back into portraits again, I wont buy anything made by Sekonic, not reliable. I know that this item is no longer available but unless any of Sekonic's meters have improved dramatically, I wont waste my money on them. I prefer an item that will stand the test of time. I give this meter a 1 star rating only because they don't give you the option of 0. |

SIZE, LONG LASTING BATTERY AND EXTREMELY ACCURATE.
Weakness:
NONE I LOVE THE SIZE OF THIS METER, IT IS EXTREMELY ACURATE AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. USES 9 VOLT BATTERY WHICH LAST A LONG TIME. FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS MADE SIMPLE WITH THIS METER. AMBIENT LIGHT READINGS DEAD ON. I PURCHASED THE METER DUE TO I SAW MADE PROS USING IT AND I ASKED THEM WHY THEY USED THE 328. AND EVERYONE AGREED ON SIZE AND ACCURACY. IF YOU NEED A METER THIS IS THE ON. Customer Service NEVER USED Similar Products Used: MINOLTA |

Strength:
It''s hard to beat it''s combination of price and performance. I also like the fact that it uses a single AA battery which lasts me several months of heavy use.
Weakness:
The white dome kept on popping off so I simply glued it into place permanently. This has been the only lightmeter that I have ever owned. It has never let me down. It''s durable (It dropped out of my pocket from the top of a bulldozer onto some rocks - easily a 10 foot drop - during the first day of shooting that I used it.) I think that its giving you a battery test the moment you turn it on is a stroke of genius. I''ve sometimes found myself looking over the latest lightmeters but haven''t been able to come up with any reason to replace my current meter. Customer Service I''ve never had any use for it. L-328 Digilite F Light Meter
Strength:
Small, light, very accurate, and very user friendly. Meter readings in full/half/and 1/10th stops. Cordless flash option is wonderful. Also has: swivel head, battery check, auto-"off" function, and a cine scale (for you soon-to-be DP's out there). Comes with case, strap, and 2 extra discs [flat, and reflected]. One AA lithium battery will last forever.
Weakness:
No lighted display. An outstanding light/flash meter, at a moderate price. Every bit as good as the Minolta IV, only a lot smaller, and lighter. This is the best piece of photographic equipment I've ever purchased. P.S. You can buy an optional 5-degree spot attatchment for it, if you wish. Customer Service Never.
