Konica Minolta Spot Meter F Light Meters

Konica Minolta Spot Meter F Light Meters

DESCRIPTION

Minolta’s Spotmeter F is designed for professionals and advanced amateurs alike. While looking through the meter’s viewfinder, you can take precise, 1-degree spot measurements of flash or ambient light, to check the lighting on a small part of your subject. Three exposure-calculation functions (highlight biasing, shadow biasing, and averaging) can be used to determine the exposure of virtually any subject or scene.

Strength:

Accuracy, reliability, and simplicity are crucial in photographic equipment, and all of these traits describe this meter.

Weakness:

The only thing wrong with this meter is knowing that someday I will need to replace it!

This spot meter is really fantastic. After a simple calibration it is extremely accurate (with in a tenth of stop), and most of the time is like measuring with a micrometer and cutting with an ax. The meter remains accurate independent of the battery life. I have noticed that between full batteries and dead ones the reading change about 1/10 th of a stop.

Strength:

Egromic design and ease of use.

Weakness:

Not enough memory provided for metering.

The Spotmeter F is a true 1 degree spot meter, when compared to the L508 , which is a zoom design. I found that it is great when used for zone system since it gives contrast difference in EV as well as in F-stop bar graph display. It will score a 5-star rating if it incoprate a cordless sync flash metering.

Strength:

Very accuarate, easy to hold and easy to point towards subject.

Weakness:

Bought this meter about 10 yrs. back and still very satisfied with its performance. Now this meter would be considered expensive as many new meters carry multi features and perhaps at lower price.

Strength:

The Minolta Spot Meter F has a solid quality feel to it. The analog display of the aperature scale is quick and easy to use. It is not to large or heavy.the meter is very accurate and agrees with my taste in chromes.

Weakness:

No problems.

A good meat and potatoes spot meter at a reasonable price. Others may be more fancy with frills but the Spot Meter F is a staight ahead machine (like my hassy). It helps me concentrate (rather than distract me) on the photographic composition at hand.

Customer Service
