As an individual that is obsessed with quality and always looking for it at a good price I began the long comparisons of the giants and the little guys. I was looking for low weight, high load capacity, acceptable height, sturdy constuction, and a low price... enter the Velbon EL Carmagne 630! Santa Barbara Mobile Truck Repair Weakness:

Works good.
Weakness:
a "cheap" feel to it REALLY easy to accidently turn it. An OK flash. I bought it because it was the best flash I could afford at the time. The pictures turn out great, the recharge time is good. But it has a "cheap" feel to it. And it is REALLY easy to accidently turn it on when you throw it into your locker or book bag so batteries don''t last that long. Other than that a good flash. Strength:
Probably the best bang for the buck on the market today. Very good range and auto feature.
Weakness:
Price for features, there aren't any. Got a 2600D with a Canon T50 but didn't expect much from it. Boy was I surprised! It worked so well that when my first one broke I immediately began looking for another one just like it to replace it, rather than going for a larger Vivitar or 244T. The weakness in the first one was the shoe - it broke off when I got tackled by a running back while on the sidelines at a high school football game. I went flying but the flash still works. I've been tempted to glue the shoe back together and use it with a slave as a fill flash, I like it that much. Customer Service Never needed Similar Products Used: Various Speedlites, 728, 285 |
