I can honestly tell you that reading the box, i dont know what it means... I can tell you this.
I own the 285HV and 2 Sigma EF-500's 1x Super + 1x ST
and they seem to have more reach the I enjoy.
I like the fact that this has a Bounce and Swivel (no Zoom). Which a also like of the 285HV. The quality feels nice fair weight, doesnt feel cheap like the Sigmas.

Easy to use, just add batteries, adjust the manual settings in the back of the unit, and you get perfect exposures everytime.
I enjoyed this so much im selling my 285HV to pay for the already ebay purchased 422D.... so I'll now have 2 Sigma's and 2 Sunpaks...
