Strength:
Small and cheap
Weakness:
Nothing Great, but ok. This is a good flash to go on a Rebel. It is small and OK. Not to advanced. Planning to buy a Speedlite 550ex to go along with the EOS-3 I will be purchasing soon. Customer Service Not used. Similar Products Used: A Variety Nikon Flashes. |

Strength:
Light, good exposure and nicely balanced fill flash in most situations. Totally automatic. Just turn it on. Also, it is better than the pop-up flash because it sits higher (thus reducing chance of red eye) and it uses AA batteries, thus saving your camera''s battery from quickly draining.
Weakness:
It isn''t very powerful, of course, so it is best used with high speed film. Also, it has no zoom head, but rather a fixed focal length of (I think) 28mm. I bought this for my Elan II, and it was quite effective for short range, fill flash situations, or for a main light if using 400 or 800 speed film. It was also very inexpensive, which is always a plus. I traded it as part of a deal that brought me an 80-200 2.8L, and replaced it with a 220EX, which is also very good, but which costs twice as much. The 200E is a nice little flash to carry around when you are traveling light. I recommend it, particularly if you have an older (non Type A) EOS camera.
