Serial no. before N898xx will not work with some flash eventhough my Bowen sync voltage is 15V only.

Bought the unit after reading some reviews on the web. The unit works fine with my portable flash but would not trigger my Bowen Esprit 500 studio flash. 2 emails (they only reply on the 2nd mail) to Quantum before they came back to me and info me that the 2 units I bought are older version and may not work with certain flash. Only those with N898xxx on wards will work with all flash. Guess I should have bought thru the net instead of Singapore since the prodt is not moving and one is always getting the older unit. I am sending my in for 'modification' lets see if they can fix it.

Customer Service

My first encounter with them was gd with regards to the Q flash. They were slow to response on this Freewire issue. Very upset to get old unit when it is less a month old.
