    Beginner

    Strength:

    As soon as I figured out that everything was going to be pink, I just avoided taking photos of white things, like clouds and cats (some cats)

    Weakness:

    Turned my clouds pink.
    Even turned white cats pink.

    I once met this moronic professional guy in a quality processing joint who had to reshoot on E6 because he had 24 hour deadline and he had used this film.

    use fuji. failing that, use something you can do E6 to.

    Customer Service

    Slow (in UK)
    Several times they have mounted my slides in error.
    They also sometimes chop through your last frame.

    Strength:

    Crisp, clear, colorful, and fast enough for my 3.5-4.5 D lens; captured a bit of the life instead of just the picture.

    Weakness:

    None that I have found yet.

    I have been searching for a standard slide film to use on my 28-105 3.5-4.5 D lens. My slides from my Big Bend National Park trip are crisper, cleaner, brighter and sharper than other films that I have tried. I feel that the "punch" is back in my pictures and had more keepers than I have had since I can remember. A&I processed. Like that old cereal ad says: "Try it again for the first time."

    Strength:

    Warm, slightly muted color, as well as grain (and plenty of it) works well for portraits

    Weakness:

    If vivid color and fine grain are what you are looking for, this is not your film.

    Some of the good qualities of black and white portraits can be achieved with this film. Shots convey "mood" far better than films that are less grainy and render color more accurately (i.e., good film). I liked the blacks and shadows, although other films capture shadow detail far better. Basically, I know that this isn't good film in many ways, but I think it has its uses.

    Strength:

    Sharpish

    Weakness:

    EVERYTHING goes pink in cloudy weather, rotten colour saturation, rotten colours, rotten grain - just plain rotten!

    The worst film I've ever used, including the old East German stuff I used to use. If I could give 0 stars, I would.
    When do you want to use a fast film for outdoor pics? When it's cloudy. What happens if you use this film when it's cloudy? EVERYTHING, yes just about EVERYTHING goes pink.
    Blacks are terrible, too.
    I suppose there might be a use for this, but for the life of me I can't think of one. Answers on a postcard, please....

    Strength:

    * Good sharpness
    * Fast

    Weakness:

    * Expensive
    * Brownish colours
    * Basketball sized grain

    A sharp film with a brownish tint to the colours.
    Good for spring photography, but not an allrounder.
    Mega sized grain.
    A film not for everyone.
    I never use it again.

    Strength:

    Speed

    Weakness:

    Muddy color. Grainy, grainy, grainy.

    Did I mention that it's grainy?

    I just tried out this one...

    Too da*n grainy for a 200 speed film. I love the colors of K64, how come this one's crappy? And K200's can't be really 200-speed because almost all of my slides came out underexposed! OK i'll let Kodak "slide" on that last point...maybe the labs screwed it up...or maybe my F5 underexposed all of those shots...yeah, right.

    Strength:

    Beautiful color palette
    Punchy, sharp
    Pushes well to ASA 800

    Weakness:

    Grainy
    Sometimes expensive

    If you like warm colors, this is a beautiful film. I disagree with the reviewers above that it doesn't have that kodachrome 'look'--it does, in spades! Images are incredibly rich and 3-D looking. A K200 image can be spotted from miles away. It is grainy and if that is your main concern, go for an E-6 film. I wish Kodak would update the emulsion to reduce grain. This is my second favorite film--after K25.

    Strength:

    Good color and sharpness for its speed. Pushes nicely to ISO 500.

    Weakness:

    Grainy.

    A little grainy, but very sharp. Warmer than K64, but good for cloudy day when extra speed and warmth are needed. Pushes nicely to ISO 500. Great for shooting animals.

    Strength:

    Excellent color rendition, slightly warm. Very sharp with moderate grain for the speed. I like it veru much, better than similar speed Ektachromes/Elite Chrome.

    Weakness:

    No

    A very good film with excellent, natural color rendition--it does not have the day-glo colors of Velvia! To me it has the same tack-sharp Kodachrome appearance of other speeds, with the luminous Kodachrome appearance that other slide films lack.

    Customer Service

    Kodak processing is good. I have not had any yrouble with it.

    Strength:

    I don't like it.

    Weakness:

    It's not really Kodachrome, it just works that way.

    At this speed, use Ektachrome. I haven't used any in a long time in 35mm, so I dunno what the new elite stuff is like. The pro 100 Ektachrome is fine, though, for Ektachrome.
