Fast - that's about it.
Weakness:
Very grainy, even by ISO 400 standards. Not nearly the color saturation I expected from Fuji Professional film. Expensive. Don't waste your money. The speed of this film makes it nice for low-light situations -- that is, until you get the results back from the lab. Seeing a side-by-side comparison of Provia 400 and 100F pushed to 400 was all the convincing I needed. Very disappointing. Similar Products Used: Provia 100F, Velvia, Kodak Ektachrome |

Strength:
It's good for a low light situation. The colors are good for this speed.
Weakness:
The grains are just bad. They are not as good as the claim. On the print, the colors are acceptable, but the grains are not good at all. I'm thinking to try Fuji 100/1000MS or Kodak E200. It's not as good as the claim. The grains are just bad on paper and on the screen. The colors are still acceptable forISO 400. For this speed, I have been thinking to switch to Fuji 100/1000MS or Kodak E200. If you want an ISO 400 film...try the Provia 100F and push it too 400, and you'll be amazed with the results. I am a huge Fuji fan ... but, to be honest with you, about this film, I would have to say "I don't like it at all." (35mm class)It's terribly grainy ... much worse than advertised. I was very disappointed with the ten (10) pack trial. The speed issue is important at times ... but I'd rather push Provia 100 a little, than use the 400. On the brighter side, knowing Fuji, they'll tweak the grain till they get it right, like they've done to Provia 100F ... though.
Weakness:
Yes ... grain & color were not good. Fuji Provia 100/ 35 mm pushed is much better than 400 any day !!! It's just my opinion, but I would definitely go with another film for most 35 mm photographic situations. The graininess of this film just magnifies the already existent problems of trying to enlarge 35mm images to ANY size at all. Customer Service Never dealt with them. This is like a souped up Velvia, only three stops faster. I like it in 120 size since the grain becomes less of an issue. Still very fine.
Weakness:
None If I am shooting near twilight, I wouldn't hesitate to pop in a roll of Provia 400. Colors are outstanding! Similar Products Used: Kodachrome 200, E200, RMS 1000 |

Strength:
I liked it in low light. I was shooting birds and landscapes around dusk and the speed and color renditions were acceptable to pretty good. I liked its ability to capture the subtle colors associated with moonrise, but that alone wouldn't be enough for me to buy it again.
Weakness:
Very expensive I agree with most of the others that this film does not have the color saturation that I associate with Fuji films. Customer Service I didn't have to use customer service. Similar Products Used: Velvia, Sensia, kodachrome, Ektachrome |

Grain that looks like a slide film pushed to 3200 ISO. No smooth lines possible. Photographs look like mosaics made from colored sand glued to a board. I bought 10 rolls of this horrible film after reading rave reviews in a photo magazine. It is pathetically bad. A full frame 8x10 looks like I blew up one tiny corner of a slide. Unbelieveable grain! I suppose that it could be used in applications where you want lots of grain, buy I cannot imagine anyone wanting THIS much grain. Far more than I have gotten from Kodak 800 Max. I'm throwing away my remaining 8 rolls because I cannot justify wasting the money processing them. Customer Service None needed Similar Products Used: Ektachrome 400 |
