    Strength:

Excellent cross-processing film with no colour-cast. Many other films have a strong green or pink tint when cross-processed - this film does not.

    Weakness:

Slide film is very expensive!!! I wish it were a faster film - RSX 200 (the best film for cross processing I am told) is sadly no longer available. Can be a little unforgiving, so will need a good lab to do the prints as manual exposure correction may be needed.

Great film for cross-processing. Rate as-is and the lab will do the rest. My lab push processes it a little. Some people recommend to over expose at least one stop and process as a 100ISO in C41 if too constrasty. Prints should be done on a Fuji "Frontier" lab, not Agfa or Kodak. Prints come out saturated, grainy, and contrasty.

I have searched for the best film for for many yrs,and as with many things in life it oftens ends of with a compromise like this fabolus german product which is so versatile and flexible in its caracther,so its up to you and your skills to make good prints!it is so good even with more ordinary lenses that im often surprised how good this film is.!! Bravo Agfa!!

    Strength:

When x-processed RSX II gives fantastic over the top punchy colours yet the skintones remain warm and creamy. You have to try this film to believe how good it is for fashion and glamour work.

    Weakness:

Expensive in UK. Don't know about its capability when processed normally.

I was unhappy with the quality of most E6 films when cross processing (E6 processed as C41). That was until I tried this fantastic emulsion on the recommendation of a pro friend.

    Strength:

nice colour saturation , acceptable grain.

    Weakness:

hard to find, does not like over exposure.

This is a nice middle ground slide film, I''ve used E200 before and this film stood out, nice saturated colours and reasonable grain. This film likes to be underexposed a little to really make colour jump out. This isn''t Provia but it''s cheaper.

    Strength:

"Neutral but vibrant" covers it. Has a nice realistic look to it.

    Weakness:

Hard to find. A little grainy for 100 speed film.

Good all-purpose film for many different lighting conditions. Not "too much" of anything.

    Strength:

Strong and solid color, fine grain

    Weakness:

Relatively hard to find, but other than that, none that I can think of

After being somewhat less that pleased with Agfa slide film over the past few years, I decided to give them one last shot. I pruchased a roll of RSX II 100 because they didn't have CTPrecisa in stock, and i have to admit, I was totally floored. Not only was the Agfa stuff just as saturated and rich as the Fuji Provia 100F I also shot, but it totally kicked EliteChrome 100's butt. I finally realized that it was the processing--not the film itself--that was responsible for my less-than-spectacular Agfa experiences, so now I'm going to give them another spin just to make sure this wasn't a fluke.

Model Reviewed: Agfachrome RSX II 100 ASA

    Strength:

Beautiful, natural color and fine grain.

    Weakness:

    None.

Agfa's 100 speed slide film is an EXCELLENT value. The color is beautiful, and looks (to me) to be more saturated that Fuji Sensia, but not as saturated as Velvia. I think it is a great middle ground between those two films. For a recent vacation I was able to buy lots more Agfachrome that I would have been able to if I had used Kodak or Fuji.

    Strength:

Very fine grain, actually, looks better than on RSX II ISO 50. Rated at 125 gives excellent saturation while retaining color accuracy.

    Weakness:

Narrow latitude, but this is a slide film after all.

This is my main chrome film. It is fast enough for sports, yet sharp (although not as sharp as RSX II 50) and fine grained. Best of all, unlike Provia or Velvia it does not require refregiration. Since I found a cheap source of it, I do not buy Fuji anymore.

    Realistic Colours

    Weakness:

    Not very sharp
    Too much grain
    Expensive in England

has uses when there is high contrast. However, there is too much grainb for me. I would recommend Fuji Astia instead.
