Strength:

Its very very cheap. It has very fine grain. It can be push processed to 400 and 800 with hardly any noticeable grain increase.

Weakness:

It still doesn't compare to a quality professional film such as NPS160 with skin tones or whites. It seems to hold a strong yellow cast after years of storage.

For $1 a roll, I'm extremely impressed with this film. Its the absolute best consumer grade 35mm film I've ever shot. It has very fine grain and pushes to 800iso very well. And it stores for a very long duration. It scans very well, and holds color better than kodak gold 400 or 800 of its same age when its pushed to the same speeds. It also scans very well, and odd color casts are easily corrected. Sadly however I found out it is no longer produced :(

Customer Service

It was purchased at walmart, and we all know how excellent walmarts customer service is compared to anything shy of a small mom and pop store. If you don't like it, take it back...

Compared to Kodak Gold Series and Fuji Superia Film, for the price I'd recommend this film over both.

Strength:

Excellent color, smooth tones, no grain! I read where this film won awards and I now see why!

Weakness:

You can only buy it at Wal-Mart that I have found so far.

I bought a 4 roll of this at Wal-Mart and the quality is outstanding. I just couldn't believe how good this film was at such a low price! Unbelievable! Great Color, smooth tones and excellent for professional photography! Hands down above the other brands! Agfa is now making a very high quality Polaroid Item!

Strength:

Inexspensive. Wide availability.

Weakness:

Nothing special about it. Colors don't really grab you.

This is a decent film at a decent price. Good colors, though nothing special about it. It is fairly inexpensive, and is found in most every Wal Mart, K Mart or anywhere else film is found.

Strength:

Great pictures, low price.

Weakness:

Contrasty with flash

This is not the best consumer film I''ve used, but it''s one of the cheapest and still delivers good quality. Without seeing it side-by-side, I''d swear I wouldn''t notice the difference. Excellent for daily use.

Well, to be the first review...
Acutally this produce is still new to me -- I just ran 8 rolls of it recently. Several of them were for the test/comparison purpose, then I bought more of it. You can see I'll have some positive words for it. In my tests mainly containing the outdoor scene and informal portrait, the HD 200 did very good job. The color is accurate, contract/saturation are very good, shadow is fine. The skin tone with flash or sidelightening is excellent, very close to that of Gold 200. I mixed color prints from HD 200 with those from Super HQ 200 and Gold 200 (using the same photo finsher) and showed them to my friends. They couldn't tell it. However, I mentioned the color of the skin is too pale under the strong front sunlight. Overall, I'm pleased with the results. Up to now I only have a couple of 5x7 enlargements, the grain is fine. But I don't have conclusive words about this yet.

I appreciate the quality and low price of this film. It costs only about $4.5 for a pack of 4-roll 24 exps at the local Walmart store. However, I think the HD 200 is not good enough to draw me away from Gold 200. But now I always have one or two rolls of it in my camera bag and I do use it. For casual photographers who do not care about the quality too much and want to save some bucks, I think this is a wonderful choice.

Strength:

Good skin tones, perhaps a bit on the vivid side, but depending on taste, this may be seen as an advantage. The faces become alive. The high contrast helps modeling the facial features.

Weakness:

Grainy if enlarged.

Got a bag of rolls of this film for free from a store that had a out of date rolls in stock. So it has kind of been my practicing film.

I've found it easy to take nice pictures of people with this film. It does not compete with the professional films when it comes to natural skin colors and grain. But the faces tend to come out well modelled and alive when I shoot in window light.

Results are much better than I expected.
