Strength:
Speed, grain.
Weakness:
Interesting color rendering -- can have painted quality (or sickly depending on your perspective and the composition). Shot 2 rolls of this on different days outdoors. Interesting rendering of color especially in the greens -- grass looked artificial, other colors looked a bit bleached. Pink came out vibrant(?). Printed on matte paper, some of the shots looked outstanding; the colors can have a very nice painted quality. However, most of the shots, especially the ones in fairly strong daylight, look awful. The whites look blown out on the white end, even when I exposed for the brightest part of the image. Similar Products Used: Lots of other pro/consumer films. |

Strength:
Very fine grained film.
Weakness:
None really. This is a really excellent film, similar to Royal Gold. It is very fine grained with a pleasing pattern. I've used it for 8x10 enlargements with excellent results. This is my 400 speed film of preference now, which I use for a wide range of applications. Customer Service Not used, but excellent web side with techinical information. Strength:
- speed
Weakness:
- generally not good for outdoor shots; blows out the light colors I think this is not really a 400-speed film. Rated at EI 400 everything is red! even white has red cast! This will probably be corrected by setting the EI at 250 or something. Similar Products Used: - Fuji NPH |

Strength:
Fine grain. Great all purpose film.
Weakness:
Can at times be washed out in bright sunlight. That only happens when I am forced to shoot at bat times of the day. When I am careful with my lighting Supra performs well. No film looks very good in midday lighting situations unless you are shooting close-ups. This is an excellent all purpose film. I have used in many situations (sports, nature, portraiture) with excellent results. It may be too contrasty for certain portrait situations. I am confused about the gentleman who commented on Supra not identifying purple. Just two weeks ago I shot a butterfly resting on a deep purple flower. The prints were beautiful - the flowers came out a vibrant purple. I have been very pleased with the flexibility of this film and the fine grain to boot. Besides that, it is very inexpensive Similar Products Used: Fuji Superia 400 |
