Strength:
Yes, you read it, it is even cheaper than Reala in HK. Not anywhere else I must admit. Gotta buy truckloads when I go there next time.
Weakness:
Not like Reala which you can leave for a week or so to finish the film. Requires refrigeration etc... It is not cheap here in Australia. But if I want to please the person who will ultimately own the portrait, I will not hesitate to buy this film at all. I was totally blown away by side-by-side comparison between supra, reala and this portra VC. Skin tones jump out of the picture just as you remember the subject. It handles a variety of lights very well. Almost every lab can print it well. (I just wish to try the Portra paper for once, any suggestion in Oz?) Customer Service I asked where I could use Portra paper in Australia, but Kodak doesn't have a clue!!! Strength:
what i realy liked about this film is its white, produces verry nice whites.
Weakness:
charchter seems to me that this film is like black and white and they threw in color, cause it produces very nice whites and blacks, you won't see any tint of a color on the whites, impressive! nice contrast too, sounds like a wedding film to me whit the brides white gown contrast to help brong out the details on the gown, and fairly nice skine tones, i don't know about the vivid color though. I am a huge fan of this film. Nice mix of good saturation with low contrast and very fine grain.
Weakness:
None. My favorite print film I've tried. Shot a wedding and the results were great. Similar Products Used: Fuji NPS, Fuji NHG II, Fuji Sensia |

Strength:
Pretty sharp for the 160 speed. I use it most of the time in my 6x7 for slow-speed negative colour.
Weakness:
Not really. Saturated. I guess I'd hae to call this my basic "load and use" film for my 6x7. I can't see why I'd use this instead of RG100 in my 35mm, though. Customer Service None needed. Similar Products Used: 160NC, |
