Strength:
Sharp, great blacks, whites and all shades of gray! It is the monochrome artist's canvas-it is beautiful and wondrous to me!
Weakness:
Discontinued and once again-it's s-l-o-w. Truthfully there is only thing that you could grouse about with this film: It's S-l-o-w but o-o-o-h so wonderfull! It's my favorite b&w film. Picked some up on Ebay and it's in the 'fridge. I'm shooting some in California this Sept. Got to save it for those special occassions! Agfapan APX 25 ASA B&W
Strength:
Fantastic grain structure, sharpness and tonal range when developed in Rodinal 1:25.
Weakness:
None. APX-25 is thicker than TechPan and handles better in the darkroom while loading the reel/tank for processing. It's less fussy than TechPan when it comes to exposure and processing errors. This is a terrific film for massive enlargements. Customer Service - Similar Products Used: Kodak Technical Pan |

Agfapan APX 25 ASA B&W
Strength:
agfapan 25 is fantastic for stilllifes and landscapes. the grain is extreamly fine and great for larger prints.i've found it's tonal range to be richer than most film i've used. best results w/rodinal dev.
Weakness:
very slow . its a good film for long exposures on a tripod but not cut out for too much action photography this is not a general use film but it is great for the purposes mentioned Similar Products Used: a seemingly endless list |

Agfapan APX 25 ASA B&W
Strength:
X-Acto knife sharp. Real black and whites. No hint of purple or green or brown like Ilfords. UNREAL.
Weakness:
Expensive to process - costs $25 Canadian for a roll of 36 This is the most unreal Black&White film that I've ever used, bar NONE. The resolution is so good it's like the image has been cut out of real life with an X-Acto knife and somehow stuck to paper. Sure, it's costly to get developed, but definately worth every penny. I won't go back to Ilford or Fuji B&W's after the APX25. My exclusive B&W film. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Most Ilfords, Fuji |

Strength:
This is one of the finest grained films I have ever used. When used properly, it yields fabelous enlargements. It has a long tonal range. It responds well to any filter used with it. This is the best of the slow films!
Weakness:
This film is a little more pricey than most other b/w film, even mail order. As are all Agfa products, it is hard to buy locally. It is not for everyday use as it is too slow. Although you can hand hold pictures with it, it really demands a tripod. Can you image this film offered in large format? This really is the top of the line in B/W film. Although priecy and hard to find, it is well worth the effort. I only wish it was rated at ISO 50. Customer Service I have never used them. They do have a good website however with plenty of hints. Similar Products Used: Ilford Pan F,XP1 & 2 rated at ISO 50, Kodak T-Max rated at ISO 80, most medium speed b/w film by Agfa, Fuji, Kodak, & Ilford |

Strength:
- Sharp
Weakness:
- Pricey (then again its worth the price) This film is great. I shot some outdoor scenes with this film and must mention that the 25 ISO did not slow me down too much. Although I carry around my tripod and prefer to as it gives me security of stability in the final image, the metering in my camera indicated speeds that were definitely of hand held range. One the average, even on a cloudy day you can use this film with only few limitations. If you explore your negatives with a high-powered loop you'll see how detailed this film really is. I definably recommend it, especially if you're doing architecture or fine art work. Customer Service I consider the web to be sort of an easiet way to access Customer Service. Agfa's Website is extremly well designed in providig you ALL information about their Products. This company sets among the highest standards in prviding all data sheets in PDF format. Strength:
obviously sharp with great tonality
Weakness:
obviously slow. not really a weakness, this film is just not an everyday film...of course great film if you want a near grainless and tone rich enlargment. too bad agfa is going to discontinue this film. just like ektar 25, another great film bites the dust. Strength:
Ffantastic fine grain and ability to hold detail over a wide latitude.Renders a wide gradation of tones and sharp as a tack. I use this film primarily as copy film for old pictures and it is great for landscapes as well.
Weakness:
None really if you accept the fact it is a slow film which matters little in copying. Best fine grain B & W film I have ever used. Customer Service Not really ever a problem Similar Products Used: Ilford Pan F, Kodak Plus X, Kodak pan, XP2 |

Strength:
Sooooooooo sharp. By far the sharpest film I've ever used, especially in Rodinal. Perfect for squeezing LF quality out of MF and MF quality out of 35mm. Absolutely beautiful gradation of tones once you nail down exposure and development.
Weakness:
Actual ASA closer to 12 for me. Not a huge problem, but can make for some interesting circumstances in lower light conditions. Enjoy it while you can, because AGFA has woefully decided to discontinue this film due to lack of demand. If you really feel motivated, write them and tell them to keep making it- enough photographers complain and maybe they'll listen....
