Strength:
Good quality. Low grain. Works with APS.
Weakness:
None really. This product is great if the lighting is right. I took b/w's of Notre Dame and the Arc de Triumph in Paris and the photo's were amazing. I even had them blown up to 8x10 (or equivalent APS size) and framed them. Don't take in bright sunlight though (common sense for any b/w) - the contrasts are enough to make an interesting picture. Bottom line - this is a great way to take b/w's with your APS. Customer Service Never tried. Similar Products Used: None. |

After reading the reviews I went to purchase APS B&W film and had a hard time locating any vendors online! Finally found www.FilmArt.com and it's a great site with the best selection. |

Strength:
Every thing I mentioned above.
Weakness:
I would like to see it made in faster (ISO 800) and slower (ISO 100 or 200) versions. This is some great film. I haven taken pictures of my aunt''s dog which she is now getting blown up. This film has very good exposure latitude and is very fine grained. Customer Service Not needed. Similar Products Used: None |

Advantix 400 Black & White APS
Strength:
Amazing! Using the 35mm black and white film gave sepia tones, whereas this film produced almost true black and white. Extremely clear.
Weakness:
The whites in the photos could be slightly "whiter" Amazing clarity and tones for a film developed at a 1 hour colour minilab! Superior to the 35mm equivalent Similar Products Used: Kodak 35mm Black and White (T400 Tmax) |

Strength:
It's sharp and clean. The grains are tight (especially for 24 mm film). The film handles contrast well too.
Weakness:
I agree with previous reviews that the white could be cleaner. This film went over my expectation for APS film. The results were excellent. I tried other APS color films, but they are not as sharp as this B&W film. I have a strong feeling that I'll use this B&W films more and more with my APS camera. Customer Service Never tried one. Weakness:
Its difficult to find, even online. If you can find it , try it . I think you will be glad you did. Similar Products Used: Kodak select series 35 mm film. |

Strength:
Sharp and beautiful. A great solution if you don't like the sharpness of color APS.
Weakness:
Very hard to find. I'm not an expert, but I do think that the whites may be a little off (as mentioned before)? Thank you Kodak! Please discontinue your Advantix film line and concentrate solely on the black and white. Similar Products Used: None |
