Strength:
Pretty plastic molding.
Weakness:
Terrible tech support. Not exactly a hassle free installation for a Firewire Scanner. I have owned the 1100 for 4 days now... and despite the advertised ease of installment and use; the unit has yet to even be recognized by my Mac. After dealing with technical support and realizing thier problem to staff ratio is so high... I couldn't imagine owning ANY of their products. When I asked for an exchange... they explained that would take 30 days... When I asked for a refund... I was told they have never issued one... but "more power to you." I find it hard to believe that this company does any business at all. I studied my scanner purchase for over two months and narrowed my decision down to two of their high end units... however, after this experience I have decided to sacrifice some speed and "quality" for better warranty/support. Customer Service Absolutely the worst technical support I have ever encountered. The technician even spent time arguing with me that the scanner was SCSI and was not even available in Firewire format. When in reality, that is the only format in which it exists.
