The PCD-47B is a digital film reader/writer equipped with an industry standard Type III PC Card slot, and dedicated built-in CompactFlash and SmartMedia slots - allowing the widest variety of digital film or memory cards to be accessed. The PCD-47B provides an elegant way to transfer images quickly from virtually any digital camera to the host system for processing.??Since the unit has built-in slots for both CompactFlash and SmartMedia, the vast majority of users will not require any type of adapter that may not be available and can easily be misplaced. For users of other supported media such as Sony's Memory Stick, the Type III slot will accommodate most ATA compatible PC Card adapters as well as Type II or III Flash cards and hard disks.
