Saunders 670 Series Enlargers Enlargers

Saunders 670 Series Enlargers Enlargers

DESCRIPTION

What some manufacturers call "overkill," we call standard. Everything - from the massive, extruded aluminum column, to the die-case lens stage, to the exquisitely machined negative carriers and lens mounts - speaks of uncompromising quality and attention to detail.

Strength:

Excellent build quality. Durable. Robust features

Weakness:

The head could be mounted a little more forward from the guide rail (sometimes it is difficult to frame parts of an image when using an easel with a large border).

I have the VCCE enlarger head and love it. My wife and I run through 100+ sheets of paper a week and the enlarger has not let us down yet. I tested the unit for alignment and it was perfect right out of the box. I think it is the best pro-level enlarger value on the market.

Customer Service

I asked for a few extra parts (lens board, red filter) and they sent them free. Calls to the company always resulted in a live person answering my questions (no referrals to web sites, FAQ, etc).

Have used mine regularly for 9 years and it looks and performs like I just took it out of the box. Highly recommend using Schneider glass with the Saunders.
