Strength:
Dichro head is nice for doing VC work.
Weakness:
As mentioned above; build is just not up to professional standards. There is a lot not to like about this enlarger. First is the blasted foam seal where the negative carrier slides into. The foam deteriorates and the little pieces end on the negative. Also, after a few years of use the focus control slips, causing unsharp prints. I finally took the head off this unit and sold it, kept the column for a copy stand and bought a used Beseler C23II Customer Service No experience. |

Strength:
Not a bad little enlarger. I bought it a LONG time ago so they price has gone up considerably since. Easy to align and the dichroic head has worked consistently for at least 12 years now. Many film carriers available.
Weakness:
Focussing is a bit touchy - the mechanism is friction/slide-based and it occasionly grabs. Otherwise, no problems. Compared to the 23C, the C-760 XL was far easier to use. Customer Service Never had to address the issue. Similar Products Used: Besselar 23C |
