75 watts max. It's all good except that large prints require very long exposure times. So long, in fact, that I use a Beseler for prints larger than 8 X 10. Similar Products Used: Beseler |

Strength:
The Leitz V35 has some of the best fit and finish you can find today. Optics are typicaly high quality Leitz, and its robust construction ensures that it just never will fail.
Weakness:
This is a seriously expensive machine that pushes the bang for the buck formula. It's limited to 35mm only, which immediately takes it out of play for most professional applications. If you just have to have the best of everything, the Leitz Focomat V35 is for you. It is a beautifully designed enlarger that does everything you can ask for in a 35mm enlarger. HOWEVER, you can't put 2-1/4 negs in it, or anything larger than 35mm. This is very unfortunate. If money is no object,--buy one of these immediately! Customer Service Has never been an issue. Highly reliable. Similar Products Used: The Leitz Focomat Ic does the same thing for substantially less money, albeit without the color head. Omega DII, also used provided a variety of negative size enlargements for less money. |
