Strength:
Out of the ordinary, nothing else quite like it.
Weakness:
Not a typical paper, not graded (approximate 2-1/2 contrast). If you want to become a modern-day Pictorialist, this is for you! I had shot a few rolls of male nudes and wanted a way to print them to get something out-of-the-ordinary and was delighted with the results. I matted and framed the images in black and they're exceptionally beautiful. A rough surface approximates the paper artists use for charcoal drawing and diffuses the detail on the print. The tonal scale is somewhat abbreviated (no white whites or black blacks) but if you're looking for "something different" you should try this. I understand that it tones well -- I'm going to try a blue toner to see if I can get a cyanotype effect. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Bergger high-silver portrait art paper. |
