Weakness:

Weak tones Couldn't capture detail Curls a lot when dried

I ordered some 11x14 to use and it is horrible! I could never get the detail on the paper as I could with Ilford paper. I've only worked in the darkroom a little, but I'm not impressed with this paper at all.

Strength:

Nice grey tones

Weakness:

bends and curls very easily, takes longer to develop, and is more difficult to get to lay flat during exposure.

Good image quality, and easy to handle. While it isn't my primary paper choice, it is should be well suited for drymounting together (I'll be buying more to make a book).

Beautiful paper. The glossy paper is just very slightly glossy. Has a certain look to it that is hard to describe; particularly nice for portraits.

Strength:

first paper I have used extensively
easy to use

Weakness:

This is great, easy to use and drys flat. It also rinses easy. The smooth, but extremely detailed prints look great. Blacks are not ultrablack, but very dark- I love the ablity to control the contrast. I even use it (with filtration) with color negatives with some success. The tone is nice- I like it.

Strength:

Beautifull cold tone paper. Very cold when used with Bromophen. Deep blacks and delicate highlights.

Weakness:

Light paper base.

Excellent paper for landscapes, portraits, city scapes, etc.

Strength:

Good tonal separation, clean whites, good price. Definitely a good all-around paper.

Weakness:

Had trouble finding a true black at first. Also, I find the contrast finnicky and it seems to curl quite severely when dried on racks

Aside from the weaknesses I listed, I find this to be a very good paper. I've only used about 80 sheets so far, so I may still need to work out some kinks before I can use it at its full potential. Early results indicate a good paper though- I recommend trying it yourself.

Strength:

BEAUTIFUL warm blacks in Kodak Rapid selenium, 1:20, 10 minutes--plus D-MAX improvement, rare for RC papers. Thicker base than Oriental Seagull RC. Lovely tonality--much creamier than Ilford Multigrade IV.

Weakness:

Personally don't like the cold blue of untoned paper in Sprint developer.

Gorgeous and relatively inexpensive, compared to Ilford. Cold cold cold untoned, and warm and pleasing in Selenium. One of the few RC papers truly responsive to toning. Toned in selenium, my 1st choice (plus the fiber version as well) for portrait work--exactly the look I go for.
