Only with years of experience and industry-leading technology has PENTAX been able to develop a compact zoom camera packed with so many advanced features in such a small body. One of the smallest 35mm compact zoom cameras in its class, the new IQZoom 90MC will fast become known for its ease of operation. This begins with the lens cover acting as the main switch for the camera. Once open, a high-performance 38mm-90mm, 2.4 times zoom lens, driven by the PENTAX Integrated Lens Actuating System (ILAS), is revealed. This innovative system has two actuators that are digitally synchronized by the camera's CPU (Central Processing Unit), allowing it to perform more than 1,400 different patterns of lens movement during zooming and focusing. This optimizes the speed and efficiency of focusing. ILAS (Integrated Lens Actuating System) is already well-proven in the PENTAX IQZoom 115M; the world's smallest compact, three-times zoom lens camera on the market today.
