Weakness:

Zoom gets in way of viewfinder; Film doesn't load; film doesn't rewind; red eye works poorly

The overall irritating things about this camera makes it difficult to see its strengths. I find it too small, have had to manually rewind several times in a darkened room; I find it very difficult to see through the viewfinder, especially with glasses on. It's almost too small. I had a Yashica before this one that I loved, which is the reason I purchased this one after my other camera was stolen. To sum it all up I hate this camera. I will replace it as soon as I can financially do so.

Weakness:

Wrecked film loading camera. Film advancing problems.

Bought camera at Wolfs in Dec/2000. I am going back in July/2001 to see if I can get a totaly diffent make of camera. I would not purchase a Yashica again.I wanted to get a Samsung like I use to own.It took superior pictures. The sales man suggested the Yashica over what he called the Korean Samsung. HE WAS WRONG! I hate this camera!
I just hope Wolfs back up their products. I'll let you know.

Strength:

140 range zoom
compact

Weakness:

-terrible red eye reduction
-hard to load film
-grainy looking pictures

This camera does not take good pictures. I've tried all possible speeds of film yet nothing works. I've had much less expensive cameras that are better. Loading film in this thing is a chore. Lots of red eye. I would not get this camera.

Strength:

small, lightweight

Weakness:

film won't wind, red eye reduction does not work

Sent this camera in twice for repair for the film not winding. You think you are taking pictures, but none of them turn out or the film just won't wind, or it winds too early. Clearly reading other reviews there is a defect in this product. Still not fixed. Very disgruntled with the lack of customer service. What good is a camera that doesn't work. Do not buy this camera.

Exposure failures using flash

I am surprised to see so many people complaining about film loading and transport problems. My wife and I have experienced absolutely no problems in this area; we find film loading with this camera very easy and reliable. We bought this camera about 2 years ago and shot a few dozen rolls with it. Average picture quality is quite good although the Minolta AF90 produced slightly sharper pictures. I myself find this camera a little bit too small for my (largish) hands but my wife loves it.
Only problem seems to be when using flash sometimes we get badly exposed or even non exposed pictures.
Overall I would say this little camera is a very versatile point-n-shoot camera and I would surely recommend it.
