Strength:
sharp lens, good range zoom, Minolta quality
Weakness:
none for me I have been eading other comments re this camera and fine that most of the problems may stem from the person taking the pictures. The only out of focus pics I've ever had have been my fault. You need a faster speed film to take advantage of the zoom due to small aperture at zoom end. Love this camera. I've had other Minoltas and never had problems with any of them. Customer Service Haven't needed any. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Many reasons to like it: weight, feel, low F-stop for 140 zoom, flash and exposure options. uses normal film
Weakness:
Problem with the mail order dealer but not with the camera. very good optics, many features so need to take some time to learn them or will have problems like red-eye if you trun that feature off by mistake. A least give it a look for the exposure speed at this focal length zoom at this price. Customer Service not needed Similar Products Used: none with the 140mm zoom but many with similar features |

After testing one roll of film, I'm happy with this one.
Weakness:
None Even using the no-name film provided by the camera shop and automatic (unattended) film processing at a Walgreen's, this camera shot great pics in its test roll. Purchased this for $279 last week--it had listed retail price of $359. Taking it with me for an extended vacation and looking forward to using its many capabilities, which include panaramic option, self-timer, and others. Can't wait to see what it can do with a good roll of film and processing with color adjustments. Similar Products Used: Olympus Stylus 140 and Yashica Microtec 120--and an 8 yr old Canon SureShot |

Freedom (RIVA) Zoom 140EX
Strength:
It is very comfortable, has a lot of features.
Weakness:
None The controls are well laid out; the camera, though bigger than others with comparable zooms, is comfortable to use (though the viewfinder is offset so far to the left it takes some getting used to). I have taken around 15 rolls worth of pics with it, and am very pleased with the results. Similar Products Used: None |

None I found this camera to be easy to operate after one read thru the manual. The controls were all easy to use and find while looking thru the lens. My pictures came back without red eye and the color was realistic. I am very happy with the pictures I have taken with this camera. Similar Products Used: None |
