NONE THIS A 635 COPAL-MXV WITH YASHIKOR 1:3.5 F=80MM IN EX CONDATION, WHEN I SEEN IT ON THE SHELF I PICKED IT UP AND AND SEEN THAT IT WAS ONLY $8.00, AND OF COURSE I GRABED IT UP. I HAVE HAD NO PROUBLEMS WITH IT AND AS STATED IT IS IN EX CONDATION. Similar Products Used: NONE |

Strength:
Leaf shutter = flash sync at all speeds.
Weakness:
Not good for close-ups (parallax prevents this from being very easy). Awesomely sharp pictures, built like a tank (mine got dropped from a car, just got a SCRATCH and still works fine) and capable of excellent results within the limits of a "normal" lens. Get one if you want into medium format for spare change ($200). Customer Service non-existent Similar Products Used: Mamiya c330, YashicaMat 124G, Yashica A |

- FANTASTIC 3 element lens!
Weakness:
- none at its price Just a fantasic lens (for its simple design). This camera has produced great 16x20 and 20x30 gallery prints for me. Very strong. I have treated it like dirt. Put it through freezing and hot temps and she just keeps ticking. If you find one then don't thinks twice. Just grab it!!! Customer Service - don't need any Similar Products Used: Yashica Mat 124G, Mamiya 330f, Pentax 67, Pentax 645, Koni Rapid Omega 200 |

Strength:
Quiet, simple, very high resolution lens(yashinon)4 element?,later lens, probably better than 3 element yashikor.Sold first pro prints with that camera. Not with the leica.Though that came later.635 is easy to use!Support with one hand, wind and take pic with other, no need to switch as with Rollieflex. An advantage!Use for portraits inside or out for magic.Natural light camera.
Weakness:
Mirror fading, bulkier than Rollie twin,Much bulkier than Rolliecord. Not the great quality of rollie build wise.Lens very flare prone even with shade. Great Camera!Own for life! Customer Service Photo on Bald Moutain in CA.(repair) USA.He is a true ARTIST.Great person too! Similar Products Used: All Rollie twins.635 is on a par with Rolliecord 4 xenar. The Lens slightly different, the rollie xenar has more roundness and sparkle at f8 but the 635 is no slouch with a great look of it's own at f8tof11.I think the 635 has more resolution than Rollie 3.5f planer(6 element) but the planer is better(tighter) throughout all f stop range, more useable wide open.Much less flare than 635.Planer has better contrast and tonality control. The most resolution goes to the rolliecord 4 at f8 in b&w or color. This xenar is awesome at f8 and talk about closeups!with rollienars!Magic!GREAT!.Having said that I mostly use the 3.5f though the others are fine as well.Probably because the viewing is better on the 3.5f. |

Strength:
Good-quality lens
Weakness:
Yashikor lenses can be soft wide open (although good for "soft" portraits in this manner) Wonderful camera for beginners in medium-format. Sturdy metal construction gives the camera longer life - the Yashicamat 124G has excellent optics and a decent meter, but is made mostly of plastic and has a long list of suspectible problems. Knob-wind film advance better than weak, problematic crank-advance in other similar cameras. Yashikor lenses offer good image quality on par with the Rollei 3.5s - gets even better when stopped down past f/5.6 or f/8. Dials on either side of lens assembly operate in Rollei style - window on top shows exact shutter-speed and f/stop. Customer Service Yashica no longer services this camera - but most independent repair shops will. Similar Products Used: Canon AE-1, AE-1P, A-1 |
