Strength:
size, weight, style, compactness. I bought this camera two months ago and I have to say that I'm very happy with it. The image quality is very good for a camera this size but this also depends a lot on where you get your film developed. All in all I'm very pleased with it and it meets my needs perfectly. However if you want crystal clear pictures go with an SLR and not a point and shoot. Again you cant expect great pictures if you take them to walgreens to get developed. I took a roll to a professional place around my house and was extremely happy. Customer Service Haven't needed them |

Strength:
Stylish when closed. Like holding a soap bar in your hands - smooth and curved. All metal contruction. Very good job at auto exposure all around with very good prints overall.
Weakness:
When opened, you find yourself with an awkward layout. Your left hand fingers naturally fall on top of the pop up flash, thus preventing the flash from firing when it should. Bad if you forget to place your fingers elsewhere, but this is difficult because it''s not a very comfortably gripped camera when it''s been pulled open. Pulled open, it''s also a touch imbalanced due to the length and weight distribution for one-handed use. Active AF has trouble at times with telephoto mode and far away objects. Doesn''t quite know what to set the distance at times unless you force it into landscape mode. APS format prints off Kodak 200 speed film is okay. Decent if you just want prints, but not even as sharp or as good as those off a Ricoh R1, Olympus Stylus or better 35mm format print. This is simply the limitations of the APS format - not enough detail in such a small negative when blown up. Quick viewers of prints won''t mind - they''ll be good enough to pass muster; picky photographers will wonder why everything''s a touch less detailed than desired. Can''t get too close for close up shots ~1.6 ft. vs. closer on many P&S cameras. A stylish APS camera when closed, but reveals the body design and APS format limitations when used. Bought for the stylish design, but not really for much more. You can easily buy a $80 Olympus Stylus Epic that''ll give you far better print quality, sharper images, and fit the pocket just about as compactly in a 35mm P&S camera while adding water resistance. IF the image quality was super-sharp and great, it would be a keeper, but even at the $50-80 it sells for today online, it''s not a bargin vs. let''s say the Olympus Stylus Epic, and mostly for those people who drooled at having the stylish camera sit on their desks. Better to simply order the Minolta brochure instead and keep it around for memories. Similar Products Used: Ricoh R1, Olympus Stylus |

Strength:
Classy look, which sways decisions for all the wrong reasons.
Weakness:
Very narrow range of aperture, from 4.2 - 5.6, if I recall. Depth of field will be severly limited in any case, and lowlight outdoor photos will limited to the flash range, from 2 - 3 meters. Like all Point and Shoot systems I would like to be able to randomly select on setting to control manually, and then let the camera's automation "fill in the blanks" for all other settings. This one doesn't let me do that either, making it one more medicore product. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Great size, features, looks, overall picture quality is wonderful.
Weakness:
None. A small stylish camera that makes you want to show it off to everyone. It definitely attracts oohs and ahhs. Aside from the glitz, it takes wonderful pictures and seems to be a very intelligent camera. Even the impossible shots that -shouldn't- look good come out much better than expected thanks to APS IX features. Flash is very bright and the light meter perfectly exposes each picture without fail. Includes titling features, date/time stamp and an optional remote control. A+ Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Beautifully designed, looks great, is convenient and can be carried in shirt pocket. Takes wonderful pictures - once you get used to the APS process and format, i.e., once you learn that APS is not as adaptable to various shooting situations as 35mm, but has its own strengths which can be quite impressive.
Weakness:
The panorama mode often produces pictures with little or no resolution and definition at the edges and ends, particularly with 400 and above ASA film. It does a little better with 200 ASA film. If you're looking for a well-designed APS point-and-shoot zoom that takes good pictures, and can even take great ones under certain conditions, the Vectis 2000 is about as good as it gets. All of these little APS cameras have their problems. You have to expect, and even accept, some irritating limitations when a camera has been engineered down to the size of a small bar of soap, but still manages to perform so many tricks and look so darn good. My opinion is that the Vectis 2000 has fewer of these limitations than most of them. And looks better than all of them. Customer Service haven't had any reason to use it - yet. Strength:
Compact and super chic. Can go places my SLR can't
Weakness:
Would not trust very important shots to this camera. Picture quality is just too poor, partially due to APS format though. This is my first APS camera, and I can say that I'm not all that impressed. The only thing these tiny cameras have going for them is their portability and their style. The Vectis produced *very* grainy panoramics not able to be enlarged at all. The edges of all of flash shots are dark and blurry. Overall not too impressed...should have bought a Canon like everyone else! Customer Service none needed Similar Products Used: Elph 2 |

Strength:
Great design and feel, Excellent picture quality, Nice placement of features, active autofocus
Weakness:
Quit working after a year, expensive electronics problem. smallish zoom, no setting control Probably the best point and shoot I've ever had. The feel is nicer than the Nikon Nuvis S of comparable style. The picture quality is very nice, very simple to use, very comfortable. Nothing "in the way" of where I like to hold a camera, ELPH sized when closed with more easy handling than ELPH when open. Even though mine quit after a year and the repair estimate is prohibitive (no local service center), I will very likely buy another. Excellent balance of easy use, size and portability, basic features, picture quality and price. Not good for kids as the sliding cover requires just a moment of patience to close. Customer Service ? Strength:
Excellent lens; small footprint; Very good "Red Eye" reduction
Weakness:
Mid-Roll rewind, but cannot reload the film I purchased this demo camera at a good price. Not being a fan of APS, I was very pleasantly surprised with the results. The pictures are sharp and clear. The autofocus is excellent. I have found that 400 speed film is the way to go with this camera. Take my word for it, if you can get this camera for a good price, don't pass it up! Strength:
Compact, easy to change frame sizes, good photo quality.
Weakness:
Lens cover is fragile. Camera stopped working after 12 mos of use. I was very happy with the camera at first. It was nice and compact to carry and features a protected lens. I was impressed with the quality of pictures. Nice and easy to switch from one frame size to another. Red eye reduction works great as well. I was upset when on vacation the camera broke. It just shut down and stopped functioning. I haven't had a chance to take it in yet as it just happened a few weeks ago. If the repair isn't too expensive, I'll have it fixed. If not I will look at a Cannon. Customer Service Not attempted yet! |

Strength:
Small Size when stored in you pocket but large enough to handle when shooting, Aluminum case, Very cool looking, Nice macro feature
Weakness:
Feals fragile when opened, Masking in viewfinder can be hard to see, flash is in a very awkward position (it sits on a natural hand-hold), unexcusable metering, poor picture quality I was excited about this camera, its small, seemed pretty well built, had a good zoom range, utalized all the IX data, top of the line camera. Then I started getting the pictures back. Those that came out were not sharp at all. I say those that cam out because the metering on this camera is LOUSY. It drastically underexposed outdoor shots to the point where some of them had absolutely no image on the negative. It overexposed every indoor shot, without exception. I bought this camera for a trip I'm planning to the Caribean. If I wouldn't have tested it out before I left, and got these results on my vacation, I would have been really upset.
