Strength:

good zooms 3 different zoms

Weakness:

por quality photos

I bought this Camera on May 23, 2002 in France for 350 Euro. I thought I have got better than my Canon A1 which I have it for nearly 24 years and I like it and it is my lovely Camera. This Kodak Camera is good, but for the price I paid for is nothing. It has nice options and zooms, but i do not recommend one to buy these cameras. Better Cameras are Nikon and Canoon. I have also digital Camera.

Strength:

Compact and lightweight.
Flip-up flash that is supposed to reduce red eye

Weakness:

Lots, I really don't like this camera! The pictures are of poor quality, and the flash does not work many times while it is "warming up", expensive to develop film

Lots of other camera's on the market in this price range that must be better. I didn't research the camera and bought it on a whim. Be sure to check camera reviews first!

Strength:

I never take pictures. I always get copies of other people's shots. I took this camera with me on a recent cruise and was astounded at the remarkable pictures I got. It had to be the camera and not me. My photos looked like postcards. I used one roll of 40 exposures and 2 of 25. All of them came out beautifully. I was extremely pleased. I borrowed the camera from work and now I want to buy one and can't find it.

Strength:

ease of use, 3 formats, small and light, 2x zoom.

Weakness:

would like to have more control like an SLR.

I have it for more than a year, used on many trips and always had great photos! It is reliable. I keep it in my pocket and could always stop my motorcycle and take a fast shot. If I had to get the SLR in the bag I would loose the shot. want a nice APS, ease to use, small and reliable this is it!

Strength:

I don't

Weakness:

Yes - it rewound films after a few shots. Was really unreliable and let me down on a once in a lifetime holiday. I went back to a 35mm Olympus MjuII zoom - much more solid and better performance for a little more cash

Total and utter rubbish. Don't be taken in by this, get a proper camera from Olympus, Canon, Nikon etc. and I wouldn't bother with APS.

Customer Service

Retailer refunded my money.

Model Reviewed: Advantix 4700ix

Strength:

When flip-flash is down, flash protects lens
Prints date and title on back of photograph, instead of on the front
Proof sheet easier to view and order reprints from than negatives
Sleek, lightweight
Data back provides info such as low light, etc.

Weakness:

Poor picture quality ~ very grainy regardless of film speed!
Battery lasted 9 months with average use of the flash and zoom (75% of my photos are taken outdoors, therefore, no flash was necessary)
Red-eye extremely frequent (90% of the time)
Developing cost extremely high ~ $10.00 for 25 exposures with no duplicates.

If this were my first camera, I would have to wonder about my skills ~ however, I've owned 4+ cameras over the last 20 years and this, by far, yields the poorest quality photographs. If you are purchasing this camera for the panoramic feature, save your money! Buy a decent point and shoot and purchase a disposable panoramic camera when the need arises.
People who scrapbook, or require duplicates ~ the quality of these photographs does not justify the extra developing expense!
