Strength:

Great camera; feels great in my hands.

Weakness:

I dropped it after about two weeks of carrying it around (I had it in my pocket and forgot it was there!). The LCD display was ruined and camera failed to function.

I like to do my own enlargements and prefer around 16x20 size. Because of the smaller film format this is not possible to do without serious graininess. It seems that it is almost too fragile for me.

Customer Service

I brought it back to where I bought it. Make sure you can bring it back if you need to!

Strength:

easy to travel with. Picture quality more than adequate for the average photo buff

Weakness:

Not so easy to change some of the settings. Buttons very small. May be kind of clumsy if you have large fingers.

Nice camera. I take it everywhere. Well worth the price

Can be taken anywhere, anytime. That alone should inspire many more people to buy these little wonders.

Just bought it. Really love the way it feels. I have seen some excellent pix taken w/Canon Elph2 and that is what inspired me to get this one. I will write another review after a few more months of use.

Customer Service

An excellent overall camera for the outdoorsman who doesn't want to lug around a heavy camera. This will fit in your pocket. Way to go Canon.

Strength:

Compact and versatile. Adequate zoom range for a take anywhere camera.

Weakness:

No.

I take many more pictures now because I am able to put this camera in my pocket and take it with me everywhere. The small film format results in grainier photos than 35 mm but if you are not making enlargements this is not a big problem. Flash is weak, but good enough for indoor family photos. Pictures are sharp with good contrast when there is enough light.

Small APS

Weakness:

Dropped once after 9 mos. Couldn't find repair shop. Sent to manufacturer. Came back autofocus inop. Will not use again.

Worked great until drop from 2 feet onto Grass. Never worked satisfactorily again. Customer Service awful, factory service awful, local tech shops afraid of it. Would not recommend this camera since its too fragile and unsupportable.

Customer Service

Awful.

Strength:

Finishing is superb. I like the zoom range and the portability. Picture quality is on a par with most APS cameras with flare well controled. RT mode is useful but confusing on setting.

Weakness:

Zoom couldn't be with steps, or at least it could have much more steps. Sometimes I need to change the zoom a little, but the lens changes a lot mailny at the wide end. Tripod socket seems weak too.
Flash settings shouldn't return to default when camera is turned off.

I bought this camera to use it when I don't want to carry the EOS5 on my trips, or as a "emergency" camera and it does his paper very well. I am really happy with it. This is my first APS and the picture quality is better than my Minolta Wheathermatic(also a APS)

Customer Service

Never needed.

I own a Minolta wheathermatic Zoom (underwater APS) and a Canon EOS5 (A2E). Already have used a Pentax IQZOOM 105R (great camera)

Strength:

Compact and very light weight. Easy to use.A good gift for a girlfriend who has limited photography background. If you get one that will last.

Weakness:

Does not do well in contrasty scenes. The flash is weak. I would like to have a more sensitive zoom control. The two, I have tend to breakdown alot.

I can't recommend these cameras due to the luck that I have had with them. Two unreliable cameras in a row from the same company is just my bad luck.

Customer Service

This is the second elph that I have purchased and it will be the last. Both breakdown after a little over a years worth of normal use. The 370 I have just came back from repair. After it was supposed to have been fixed I had to send it back with the same problem. When you turn the camera on the lens does not open and a flashing H appears in the lcd panel.

Strength:

Size. Design--chixzz dig it. The wrist strap is great too.

Weakness:

Mediocre picture quality. Delicate construction and finish (use of the faux leather case at all times is recommended). Eats expensive batteries.

Cool looking but delicate camera that takes mediocre pictures. After about 1.5 years of light use the flash cover came off (no, it wasn't dropped!), repair cost about $90. Flash is still not working properly and now the film door won't open. I think I'm done with APS and zoom lenses, will probaby get a 35mm Ricoh GR-1s now.

Customer Service

expensive and unsatisfactory

First (and last?) APS, other camera was an old Ricoh TF-500D "compact."
