Strength:

I've owned three MXs over the years. And it remains one of my favourite 35mm SLRs. I love the meter readout (and accuracy). And it is virtually indestructible. For awhile I went to the Olympus system. (Also numerous electronic Contaxes.) But the MX's handling (and metering) is, to my thinking, much better. My 85mm F2 on the MX is one of my favourite camera/lens combinations.

Weakness:

Out of production. Used accesories are hard to find. I wish I would have purchased a motor-drive and some additional focusing screens when I had the chance. Also, unlike some, I have **never** had a meter problem in the three MXs I've owned.

As it is, the MX is a great little camera. But I keep having this dream:Pentax will re-release the MX--but as the MX-t. A titanium bodied MX with shutter speeds to 1/4000, TTL flash, spot-metering, and mirror lock-up! Well, I can dreat can't I?

Customer Service

Have never needed it except for the purchase of scews to put back together a 50mm 1.4.
