Strength:

Good looking, nicely finished, all manual camera with spot metering, operates without batteries at all speeds, double exposure capability, bright viewfinder, mirror lock-up that is activated activated by the self timer, takes Zuiko lenses which can be had in used condition for reasonable prices.

Weakness:

Shutter is loud, self timer lever feels flimsy. The camera is turned on and off by pulling the film advance lever in and out. This can get in the way.

It's worth the price at $160 for the body alone. The strengths out weigh the weaknesses and I am enjoying shooting with the OM2000 very much.

Strength:

Purchased the OM-2000 to add to my collection of mechanical, manual SLRs. An excellent and under rated body -- possibly because of its Cosina-origin. Rugged, and accurate metering, especially with the spot meter. A joy to use.

Weakness:

None

An excellent value, plus the availability of generally superior Zuiko lenses makes for an excellent combination. A much overlooked and under appreciated body. An absolute steal at the current "street price."

Strength:

Cheap, very rugged, AND has spot metering!!

Weakness:

add ons are few and expensive

This is just an awsome camera. Like the Pentax K-1000 but with spot metering and triple the quality and ruggedness.

Customer Service

great

Strength:

Complete freedom of expression, I love getting creative and experimenting

Weakness:

As advertised the shutter's a bit noisy but I don't mind.

If you like the whole eperience of photography this is a good camera, if you're the point and shoot type you'd get along better with something more automated.

Strength:

I love it. I own an OM-1, OM-1N, OM-2, and OM-3T. It keeps the OM name strong. Works with ALL of my old lenses.

Weakness:

Not that many add-ons.

An Excellent Camera for the Expert Photo-journalist, to the beginning photographer.
