Program Mode, 2.5 fps motor drive

This camera was GIVEN to me by a friend who hadn't used it for 9 yrs. Thus the need to have the battery holder replaced. It came with a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens & i have since gotten a 28-70mm for it. I have had it for 4 months & ran 15-20 rolls of film through it without a hitch. Like it SO much i plan on getting another when funds allow. Don't SEE the need for AF until i get half blind.!
If you don't need an AF then shop around & get one of these. 150.00-200.00 for a clean one. You'll not be sorry.

Strength:

auto-load,motor-wind,DX code

Weakness:

rubber cover on M-D part comes loose

Good, easy to use camera. It uses other Nikon lenses. It has a very solid feel to it and I really like the MD unit except I have to reglue the cover on it after every couple of rolls. The picture quality is good even when used on one of the 2 program modes.

Strength:

All Nikon mount lenses work on this camera. Uses AAA or AA batteries for super convenience. True Nikon "F" style layout.

Weakness:

Only 3...DOF and the tripod mount...definatly don't like that~ Plus, there is no remote shutter release!

This is a camera that is easy to use and still get great pictures! Professional camera that the beginner can use. Standard batteries make this camera a great replacement for the Nikon FM (which doesn't need batteries to work) Solid and durable. Have dropped mine many times and it survived better than my FM! Plus they are quite cheap to pick up a used one today (got another one on eBay for $50!)

Customer Service

Never had to send mine in!

Model Reviewed: N2000

Strength:

Sturdy construction in general.
Good picture quality using standard lens.

Weakness:

Nikon flash attachment I had broke at the tension adjustment point quite easily. Bought an aftermarket flash and so far it works great.

Great camera that was expensive when purchased but can now be found for ~$100.

Customer Service

Never needed to call.
