Maxxum/Dynax 5000i
Strength:
Super cheap on the used market. Solid body. Takes "i" series function cards. Built in flash doesn't have to "pop up". Good ergonomics. Good metering.
Weakness:
Slow AF. Old and no longer repaired by Minolta. Noisy motor. These things can be had for around $100. Auto flash and auto fill flash are great for people shots and candids. This body was before the wireless flashes came out, so doesn't support the wireless mode in the 5400 and 3500 flashes. Customer Service Good e-mail support. Never tried anything else. Similar Products Used: Maxxum 7xi, 500si. Minolta x370 and medium format TLR's. |
