-Size is perfect, not too big or small
-user interface is very pretty and modern, one of the best i seen
-a lot of extra mode that are actually useful like Slideshow w/music, voice memo on still shots, smile detection, facial improvement and so on.
-single usb cable to charge/transfer file is full of win
-price is very affordable
-takes very sharp pictures if you know what to do(use program mode and set iso to lowest as possible. If not using a tripot and lighting isnt great, use flash when shutter opens too long 0.5 sec or more.
-no sound emitting from my camera when not zooming. I have a fujifilm camera and it emits a non-stop buzzing sound.

-The optical image stabilization is not as good as i liked.
-Using the dual image stabilization means image quality might suffer as it increase your iso
-samsung tend to made a lot of different models and has different model names depending on the region you are in. This is very confusing !
-Audio has more static then i liked
-the flash is located on the very left side of the camera which means your fingers might cover the light. i had to adjust the way i hold the camera, but i got used to it.
-Fingerprints! the back side of the camera is made from very glossy glass type panel. Normally, only the LCD part should be glossy to improve contrast.
-hand strap is cheap.

For the price i paid, you cant ask for much more. Size is small enough to put in any pocket and big enough so it feels nice and solid when you are holding it. I really like how Samsung is the only company that uses the single USB cable to charge and transfer files and that means i never have to take out the battery to charge it. As a bonus, the camera also allows you to easily drag and drop files like a portable flash drive. I find that to be extremely convenient . You might find cameras that takes better pictures (with much higher price), you can never find another camera that is as easy to use as a samsung.

I find the program mode to be the best option to shoot. As the auto/smart modes tends to put out some grainy pictures when the lighting is not optimal. Also, if you press halfway in the program mode, it will tell you how long will the shutter opens and by adjusting the iso, you can get the best balance between a blurry free image and sharpness.

The Camera has a large screen, is fairly small and light, 5x zoom and loaded with fancy features. Good battery life. Apparently has anti-shake.

I am looking at replacing this camera because.....
Half the pictures taken are blurry, not just the object but the whole picture. We take mostly indoor pictures of family around the holidays and our child growing up and half the pictures taken are wasted. They look fine on the viewer but when they are downloaded to the computer they are poor quality.
The program mode does NOT allow you to adjust both speed and aperture. I sometimes do outdoor/night shots where I have to adjust these settings to my own liking to get certain effects and I cannot with this camera.
The zoom will NOT let you go to digital zoom in most modes. There are times where digital zoom is useful in the field but this feature is blocked out in most the modes.
In the Smart and Auto settings, the camera will not take the picture when you hold the shutter down and you miss your shot. I am not a fan of these features that believe they are smarter then the user.
In a quiet room you will also hear the camera making weird continuous humming sounds.

First of all I would like to say I am extremely happy buying this camera. It has all the latest features in it, to name a few face detection, blink detection, smile detection, Intelligence Image etc.

It automatically chooses the right mode like portrait, landscape etc depending on the focus.

The image quality is amazing.

Easy to use especially for my mother and father as electronic gadgets are difficult to teach to older people, this one is easy to learn easy to teach.

You can capture images from a recorded video.
Video quality is very nice compared to other camera and zooming is also very smooth while recording.

Just bought it. But I got 1 year international and 1 year local warranty plus I paid 400RS (approx 8 USD) for 1 year extended warranty which was offered by the local seller - Croma Electronics a TATA Venture.
