Strength:
Outdoor photo quality is fantastic. I have snaps of New Zealand, England, Ireland, and Croatia that are almost magazine-worthy, or as magazine-worthy as you're gonna get with a point and shoot. Battery life is also extremely long; on a recent 2 week trip to Croatia, I took over 500 photos, and only had to recharge the battery one night.
Weakness:
Indoor shots are weak, there's no 2 ways about it. The flash seems a bit harsh, and photos often turn out grainy. Upgraded from an old (and big) Cybershot to this FinePix about 18 months ago, because I wanted a much smaller camera that would go anywhere with me. Being a guy, if something isn't easily carried in my jeans pocket, I'm not likely to bring it with me. The F440 is tiny and packs a very good punch for the money it cost at the time. I would recommend one to just about anybody looking to have a go anywhere digital. As you'll see below, this camera is probably more geared towards outdoorsy folks rather than bar-hoppers. Customer Service None- ordered online and no problems. Similar Products Used: Prior camera was a Cybershot, like 1.8MP, and not worth comparing to this one. |
