Weakness:
camera has many problems after 1 year of wear and tear. warranty is expired, so i have wasted a total of 450 dollars (including dock, rechargable batteries, case, memory card and camera). dont buy this lemon. if you do make sure to get an extended warranty. this camera worked great for the first year or so. Customer Service terrible service Similar Products Used: sony mavica, fuji fine pix, nikon cool pix |

Strength:
Easy to use. Good picture quality.
Weakness:
Battery life is non-existent and can't be depended on for anything outside the home. I received a DX3700 as a Christmas gift. I enjoy using the camera and the software and the photos are great. However, the camera dock doesn't work and you should plan on having a VERY LARGE supply of extra batteries in order to use the camera for more than 10 photos at a time. Customer Service Also non-existent. I have contacted them numerous times about the battery issue and get the same response - I obviously am an idiot and can't figure out how to use the camera dock. They think that taking 10 pictures before the camera dies is perfectly acceptable and offer no solutions. Similar Products Used: Other Kodak Easyshare models. Same battery problems exist. |

Casual
Strength:
Lightweight and small enough to carry in a coat pocket. Ideal for quick travel picks, kids sporting events etc...
Weakness:
I have had ongoing difficulty with the camera dock, though, and the battery life of the recharable battery. Kodak's online help is snobish, repetitive and uphelpful. The wait on hold for Customer Service is long to exhausting and when (after three rounds with customer service on hold) I sent the product in they 'reconditioned' the battery, took 10 pictures and called it fixed. The camera will only take 10 pictures when charged on the dock, so hardly fixed. Do not spend the $80.00 for the dock. The pictures are easily transfered to your computer without the dock. I am sorry I did not buy an international compatable battery recharger instead. I am now in the process of sending my camera in for a second time (I pay for shipping) more hassle than I bargained for. The camera itself is easy to operate and the 'best' quality picture produces crisp and attractive images. I have had problems with the Dock and rechargeable battery pack detailed below. Customer Service As detailed above, customer service is really where I am dissatisfied. The tech replies online to customer questions are downright nasty and arrogant. Strength:
Easy to use. Zoom works on both LCD & optical view finder. Not much of a battery eater & uses rechargables.
Weakness:
Hard to find. Sound from video weak when played from camera. Bought camera for my teenage daughter. After our experience with the HP 215, very bad, love this camera. Very easy to use. My dauther has taken tons of pics and videos and still have the original batteries. We looked at several cameras but she loved this one. Light weight & virtual piont & shoot. As I already had 48MB sandisk and USB reader, I did not get the docking station & have not yet used their picture software. Pictures look great & with the extra space for sandisks, lots of space for pictures. Includes USB cables for computer & A/V cables to save videos to tape on a VCR. Plan to buy rechargable batteries soon. Paid $299 US for the camera. If you are looking for a easy feature laden camera with a good price you found it Customer Service N/A have not needed. Strength:
Easy to use the camera and dock. Reasonable price.
Weakness:
The battery life. Two batteries is not really enough for all the features. Be sure to buy an extra battery pack and the handy portable wall plug in battery charger. Good Bundle deal. Camera takes great qulaity pictures. The camera dock is very easy to use to download pictures, with the included software. Customer Service Slow but pleasant to deal with.
