Strength:
Size, quality of photos, durability, medium resolution is pretty good.
Weakness:
It's a little on the heavy side when you fit it in your pocket... the batteries add to that. I use this primarily for taking progress photos at my jobsite and I've used this camera for about 2 years now. The durability of the housing has really proven itself out here... this camera's been dropped, bumped, scraped, and scarred, and is still going strong! It's just the right size for me. The zoom comes in handy. The preview screen is pretty good. The 2.2 megapixels are plenty for our purpose here... I use it at the medium resolution setting and I've blown up the shots to print on 8x10 without major grain problems. I don't print on photo paper, but regular printer paper on a non-photo (HP 1220c) printer at normal quality. I had a 16mb card but just bought a 32 Mb card (72 pics!) and I like that much better. After about 3 years of use the batteries (rechargeable CE) are starting to die (i.e. loosing charge quickly). This is a great model for someone just starting out in digital photography. It has the basic features pretty well covered, but I haven't tried the other features yet. It is more expensive than some others in the same range. Customer Service Not used. Strength:
Easy to use, quick to shoot.
Weakness:
Needed to reset date every time I turn it on. Video/TV view adapter clapped out now electrical error. Software hard to install but once on is good. In general a good unit. Easy to use. Quick to crank up and shoot. Had some breakdown issues which were not fixed (Typical in Hong Kong). Very good quality pics on Lowest resolution which is also recommended as you can put about 250 pics on the 32 M card Customer Service Horrible. Problems not fixed. persistent E28 Error |
