i own this camera. its pretty good, but i dropped it on my driveway one day and it survived, just one little crack, and still works. this is a great camera for kids though, and everyone else too cause it is cheap and a nice looking camera by a brand name you can count on |

Weakness:
terrible customer service, broke after warranty ran out sent for repair was charged $100 to fix got back and used for 6 months and camera stopped working again. called customer service was told to send them $75 this time and they would repair again or i could buy a factory reconditioned for $200. would never buy another canon product. junk!!! seemed like a good camera, easy to use, bought primarily for my girlfriend. easy for her to hold and use. camera worked good until warranty ran out then problems started. Customer Service terrible Similar Products Used: own minolta slr and nikon |

Strength:
Light, Easy to use, Good Quality (if you know how to use it in all lighting situations), lots of modes, Great AF, Quality lens, Lots of settings and adjustments
Weakness:
3.2 MP, is a little weak for editing, heavy noise at high ISO, Little accessories, Weak flash, Short optical zoom, Digital zoom makes huge pixalation and noise, some modes will never be used for new photographers I got this as a X-mas present, it was my first camera. I love it for point and shoot. This camera has never let me down. I think it’s a great first camera or a secondary camera for pros who don’t want to carry there SLR around on vacation. The only problem is that the accessories are all canon specific. There are no third party manufacturers for lenses or flashes Customer Service Never used it |

Beginner
Strength:
great battery life, easy to point and shoot, add-on wide angle and tele lense avialable
Weakness:
after a year, i'm getting a bit worried about the battery door falling off. it doesnt seem to close as well as it did when it was new. I'm a point and shoot type of person and I've used this camera for over a year now. I've had no problems with it or the software. It has many shooting modes, most of which I cannot tell the difference being a beginner. I shoot outdoors type stuff alot and the paroramic mode is fun to use. The software also does a good job of stiching the photos together. |

Casual
Strength:
-light to carry -uses AA batteries -AF assist in low light situations -ISo range of 50 to 400(which is more than adequate for casual/point and shoot use. -multi shot feature has almost no time lag inbetween shots.
Weakness:
- batteries die quickly despite promises of 400-800 - a little too grainy for my taste in some low lighting situations it has beena pleasant experience to use this little camera. it is LOADED with fun features and has enough diversity in settings that it could probabaly handle any situation. Whether glaring sunshine or extremely low light...it comes through almost every time. Customer Service --not needed to use yet Similar Products Used: Minolta Dimage G500(5MP) was the camera that this one replaced and although I loved that camera, this camera even at 3MP does an outstanding job in meeting my very needy photo requirements |
