Although it boasts a very compact form factor, the Xacti CG100 can record Full HD videos at 1920 x 1080 resolution, along with genuine high-resolution photos. SANYO developed a new proprietary high-speed image-processing engine to deliver high image quality in a compact package. The engine is designed to reduce power consumption and provide optimal operation in conjunction with the CMOS image sensor. What’s more, the CG100 employs a newly developed 12x double-range zoom function for video shooting. This further expands the shooting area for all situations from wide to telephoto. Despite being a Full High-Definition video camera, the Xacti CG100 can capture realistic 14-megapixel photos just like those taken with a dedicated digital camera. It can even record higher-resolution images at up to 16 megapixels, using real-time interpolation technology.
